Sahara Armchair S10

Designed by Pierre Chapo circa 1964. This armchair features a solid elm wooden frame with leather belt armrests. The leather is natural and also covers the seat and backrest.

The S10 is a flagship design in the Chapo portfolio. It combines the paradoxes of a complex assembly with what appears to be a simple line. The frame of the chair supports two stretched leather sections and the armrests are made of leather strips suspended on the seat uprights. The entire structure is held together by the tension of the seat leather on the frame thanks to the braiding of linen cords.
