All six originate from the same institutional building of the Postgraduate Institute (PGI) in Chandigarh, offering an unusually strong sense of provenance and continuity rather than a group assembled from different sources.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eExecuted in solid teak with gently curved, slightly concave caned seats, the stools exemplify Jeanneret's characteristically restrained approach to Chandigarh furniture, with an emphasis on proportion, material and construction. The angled legs and horizontal stretchers give the stools their distinctive architectural character, while the deeply aged teak has developed a rich, natural patina consistent with its age.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eThe cane seats have been newly woven, providing a crisp contrast to the beautifully aged timber.
