Palle sculpted Wooden Stool

A beautifully simple and sculptural solid wood stool, inspired by a 1970s Scandinavian design classic. Often misattributed to Axel Einar Hjorth, the “Palle” stool was originally designed by K.J. Pettersson & Söner for Nordiska Kompaniet, Sweden’s iconic luxury department store.

Each piece is handcrafted from reclaimed vintage ash or pine, celebrating the character and grain of the wood. The stool’s minimalist silhouette—formed from solid beams with a gently sculpted seat—reflects the honesty and restraint of Nordic modernism.
