Rare rectangular PJ-TB-05-A coffee table by Pierre Jeanneret, designed circa 1960 for Chandigarh, India. The table combines Jeanneret’s characteristic V-shaped supports with a simple, highly functional open cabinet, creating a design that is both sculptural and understated.

The iconic legs are among the most recognisable elements of Jeanneret’s Chandigarh furniture, giving the otherwise restrained form a distinctive architectural quality. The tabletop is composed of two levels: a clear glass surface above an open wooden compartment, allowing books, objects and other items to be displayed while remaining easily accessible.

Executed in teak, the table has acquired a rich natural patina and visible traces of age, preserving the character and individuality of the original piece. Its honest materials, straightforward construction and restrained geometry exemplify Jeanneret’s ability to create furniture that feels at once utilitarian, sculptural and timeless.
